My blog here on the Gartner Blog Network represents just a percentage of my posts to my personal blog — i.e., it’s a partial mirror of my personal blog. The only posts that go here but not there are posts of a GBN-administrative nature, like this one.
I try to keep the posts that I mirror to the GBN to ones strictly topical to my coverage. However, I recognize that Gartner clients who are reading me on GBN may be looking for just snippets of timely commentary, not the full-on geekdom that my topical posts can range into, and I’m trying to decide how much to mirror and how much to keep on my personal blog.
For instance, was my post on mucking with the Cloud Files API too much detail for you, GBN readers? Do you like or dislike detailed technical posts that go beyond the quick takes on the market, the companies, and the products? Would you prefer just the manager-level nuggets?
Please leave me a comment if you have a thought. Thanks.
