The 5th of May is an important holiday for our neighbors to the south. Being that Mexico is so close to my home state of Arizona and I am, personally, always looking for a reason to celebrate, I have taken Cinco De Mayo on as an important holiday. My job will be to sink a fair amount of beers and other assorted drinks by close of play today.
It turns out that this year I am traveling on a holiday of my own here in Maui Hawaii. Sherry and I are gladly taking a break from our duties as workers, volunteers, parents and grand parents to enjoy some Hawaiian sunsets Example included for your viewing pleasure.
I am also trying to gather some flower photos for future paintings. I am currently painting an iris and finding it fun and challenging. I’ve included a photo of my under painting (blacks, whites and grays to establish values before adding color).
The following are what I have captured so far:
Happy Cinco De Mayo every one of you. Sherry and i will drink one for you
