The traditional line is more about sugar plums, but that is not for me. I have this love of fractals that goes beyond the norm. I find their form intriguing and worthy of artful expression. I imagine that the star that guided the wise men in the traditional Christian Christmas story was a fractal in the sky. This inspired me paint one. It turns out that my son, David, likes to play with formulas that can create digital art. In his adventures, he stumbled onto a cool fractal that he sent me and uses for his screen saver today. It was the inspiration for my first painting ever and now I am turned on to painting and hope to produce a few more pieces in the next year on a part time basis.
That is enough about my machinations and onto the real reason for this post. I wanted to wish all of you a Happy Holiday season to no matter your culture or beliefs. This is a time of rest, regeneration and reflection for me and I’m sure you have your special times. My wish, for you, is to have good celebrations and meditations in the up coming weeks. I hoping that I can serve you in this space going forward in 2009 and we can collaborate on ideas. Hopefully more than my fascination with fractals and other art topics
