It is a shame that most of us, me included, do not practice thankfulness on a daily basis. While the most of the world is wrestling with challenging times, we can all find things to be thankful for in our lives.
I’m thankful that BPM is flourishing as a coping mechanism to deal with these challenging times. Organizations are trying to survive and thrive with BPM and even some organizations want to capitalize on these conditions with BPM. This of course allows me to continue to have a special job communicating with you. I am thankful for the privilege of being able to do so.
I am thankful for my family. I am lucky enough to have my parents thriving yet in the north woods of Wisconsin and they are enjoying their sunset years at age 82. They instilled in me that learning was a life long journey and that it was a shame not to use the gifts you were given to the fullest. It’s kind of like incremental improvement in processes
I am thankful for my children as they are a blessing that I hardly deserve. While it was difficult keeping all of them in school, in shoes and in good character, it was and still is a privilege to help shape them. Of course they have all exercised their free will in their own unique ways. This is like agile BPM
I am especially grateful for Sherry who keeps it all together for our family. She is the one who keeps track of all the needs of the family and focuses me on what is important. She worries about every one of our seven children and all the grandchildren. This is like BPM monitoring and watching for out of tolerance conditions for interventions. I also am grateful for our little friend Maggie Mae; pictured with Sherry. On a bad day they booth cheer me up.
I only hope you have many things to be thankful for these days. I will be accelerating my thankfulness with some time off. I will not be writing much in the next week while I contemplate thankfulness. Maybe I should make it my permanent mantra?
