Thanks once again for the prompt response Jim. I do appreciate it.
Clients better start having some budget to upgrade the skill sets of technical staff to Java, XML and SOA using BPEL or ESB!

You are welcome. The underlying technology is Java (actually the technical architecture leverages many things in Oracle Fusion Middleware). So, there is no PeopleCode or App Engine underlying Fusion applications.

Jim,
Thanks for the wonderful insight. As an implementation manager, do you know the underlying technology Fusion application uses? I know the core is Java, but from skill-set development stand point of view, is there any traces of PeopleCode or Application engine in fusion? What about the tons of custom reports and processes different client uses using SQR?
It would be helpful to know a little bit more from Oracle.
Thanks,
Abhi

Jim, if anyone knows what's going on, it's you, so I'm both reassured and chagrined that you're still substantially in the dark. After so much time, and so much money paid into Oracle by their EBS/PSFT HCM installed base, I thought he was disrespectful of that installed base to leave Fusion Apps to almost an afterthought in his keynote last night. And then to dismiss everyone's questions with a sometime-next-year wave of his hand. Hopefully, Gretchen and her terrific team are providing their EBS/PSFT HCM customers with all the more detailed answers that they need and deserve.
