Gartner has not published research on this market as a whole. Joe Galvin, and now Rob DeSisto, have published a MarketScope on Sales Incentive Compensation. In addition, we have published research on many of the vendors that provide manager self-service tools for compensation management in the MarketScope for Employee Performance Management Software, 2005. A third category of vendors are vendors who provide tools to the compensation professionals who need to do salary survey analyses, pay equity analyses, etc. Finally, the ERP/HRMS vendors have solutions that may cut across the other three categories.   Below are key vendors from each category:
