Day 2 is done and one day to go. It actually is the third day if you count the Sunday afternoon tutorials as part of the event, but all true code-geeks start counting with with zero so it is still Day 2, or day 10 in binary, or …
I don’t have photos of the sessions, as I spent most of the day in one-on-one sessions with attendees. In-person interaction is best.
I hosted an Analyst/User Roundtable (AUR) on firewalls and IPS. The AURs are my favorite part of the event: it is like "group therapy" where firewall and IPS ops staff can talk about what challenges them, and can ask questions of the the others or the analyst. It is a ‘vendor free’ zone to keep the interaction between end-users. The discussion today was split between IPS and firewalls, with topics including the future of Check Point / Nokia IPSO, firewall rule change push windows, change control, and inline IPS strategies. Epic AUR: thank you to the attendees.
The CISO invitational program is part of the effort made to continue to keep the event primarily for security decision-makers and end-users.
Main concourse between sessions.
Fresh air between sessions on the balcony off the main concourse.
Self-explanatory. Thank you to our Gartner customers and my colleagues. I have to fly out tonight so I leave it to my colleagues to blog and tweet about Day 3.
