Gartner’s Brand New BPM Excellence Awards Competition

May 15th, 2009 · 2 Comments

As they say in those really lame cheerleader-saves-the-day movies, “Bring it on!”  If you think you have the best BPM story to tell, then tell us.

Here is the press release announcing the awards:

You know how I feel about the rules.  Follow the rules.  Obey the rules.  You must obey the rules.  And you must have a really compelling story to tell.  We only want your best.

As I mentioned on Jim Sinur’s post about this, it’s a shame that Gartner has stopped issuing press credentials to bloggers (such as myself) so that we could attend the BPM summit where these awards will be given, and report on them.

    Hi Sandy

Gartner still issues press credentials to bloggers, but they have to be “full-time bloggers” not consultants with blogs, etc.

From my PR guys about this topic:

Every year, as a normal course of business planning, we conduct a thorough review of our press registration process. In regard to bloggers, we still allow some bloggers to attend, but we review blogger’s requests for media passes on a case by case basis. In general, we do grant media passes to full-time reporters and bloggers.
