New BPMN Book from Dr. Stephen A. White and Derek Miers

by David McCoy  |  September 16, 2008  |  2 Comments

Stephen and Derek had somewhat of a book-release shindig at our Washington D.C. BPM Conference last week.  It (the shindig, not the conference) was nothing fancy, but I understand they found new homes for all the books they had on hand.  They even got me to buy one.  Whether you are a BPMN fan or not, the book is now available on Amazon.  As a point of reference, Derek led a process modeling session for us and the initial feedback I heard was, “…very useful.”  If you can’t come to Derek, let him come to you in paper form.  Check out the book, but realize that I have yet to read my copy… I still haven’t unpacked from the conference.  For some reason, I have been too busy blogging since getting the go-ahead and WordPress password, delivered to my PDA, while riding the train back home late Friday night, after a grueling week of BPM vision.

Shindig? What did you expect an ihop and champers … no seriously, thanks for the feedback.

For anyone who wants quick shipment on the book, its probably better to go to the publisher … I have just checked with the publisher – they have a few in stock and Amazon are on back order.

[...] There would be nothing funnier than seeing Moe smack Larry with a copy of Steven and Derek’s BPMN book.  And imagine Curly taking a crowbar to a business rule engine!  Priceless.  [...]
