While one of the goals of this blog is to obviously share my thoughts on matters relating primarily to virtualization management, I also will use this as a forum to provide links to other information which I think may be of some interest to those of you that pass by. My current research is focusing intensively on looking at the OPEX impact of server virtualization so I have been doing work on identifying key operations processes that may or may not be affected. I’ve been looking closely at IBM’s latest update of their ITUP (IBM Tivoli Unified Process) which now supports ITIL v3. It is free and a link to it can be found here. It is thorough, but not to the level of detail that I think I need for my work. Also, I don’t see how you can modify any of the process flowcharts. Still, it may of use if you are trying to develop standard operations processes. Also, came across this site as well. It is offered up by the Munich Institute for IT Service Management and they allow usage of their ITSM-related workflows under a Creative Commons license.
