Microsoft Windows must go! Every year a significant proportion of my life is wasted trying to solve problems that should never have existed in the first place. My latest pain was caused by the purchase of a nice new HP monitor which then sent me into a monitor configuration hell because of a utility which sporadically failed to recognize its existence.

I have spent the last 5 years converting my home network to OS X. I couldn’t be happier. Hardware and software is rock solid and don’t contend with any more such headaches.
I only wish Corporate America would do the same. The list price on our ‘brick’ HP laptops cost as much or more than a 15″ MacBook Pro. Mature products such as Outlook or Office crash all to frequently.
Ironically the vertical strategy has proven to be very successful for Apple. Brilliant.
