Lottsa Investor Interest in the B2B / EDI

by Benoit Lheureux  |  January 4, 2010  |  2 Comments

Today I had research inquiries on the B2B market segment (e.g., about recent B2B events including B2B mergers and IPO filings) with three Gartner clients representing VC’s and equities. I’ve remained keen on this topic even during its darkest years in the last decade, but who dared figure that in 2010 EDI (no, really) would still be so interesting? :)

The emerging network-centric approaches to EDI and B2B that utilize cloud computing business models and trading partner registries and data format repositories are very intriguing. They have the ability to support extended multi-enterprise supply chains like never before. Fun and interesting times ahead!

Hi Benoit – Using your crystal ball do you anticipate the interest to continue? What are the main reasons for this renewed interest? Would love to see a post from you on this.
