For those who have noticed, there is a reason I have not blogged in the past several weeks. I have a new role at Gartner. As of January this year I took leadership of a new combined research group. The group consists of 5 analyst teams including Business Process Management (BPM), Enterprise Architecture (EA), IT Procurement and Asset Management (ITPAM), IT Sourcing, and Program and Portfolio Management (PPM).
What does this mean for my research and this blog? I will continue to do some social media and Enterprise 2.0 research. I also will expand my coverage looking across all the topics listed above. As a result my blogging will expand to cover many more topics. I also will most likely blog on how social media can impact these other areas. For example, the BPM team is ramping up coverage of social BPM.
I’m hoping, after some of the dust clears, to return to multiple posts per week. I also will shortly resume Tweeting.
