About Me

October 30th, 2008 · No Comments

It occurs to me that I never even introduced myself (major blogging faux pas).

Hello, I’m Anthony Bradley, Managing Vice President with Gartner. Managing Vice President means that, in addition to being an analyst, I manage a team of analysts. I manage the Applications Architecture team of analysts. We cover enterprise best practices on how to design leading edge and emerging applications such as SOA, WOA, EDA, and Web 2.0.

My personal research agenda, and therefore the majority of blog posts, is centered on how the enterprise can employ Web 2.0 (social software and mashups in particular) for business or mission gain.

Quick history:

  • Born and raised in Springfield, MA.
  • Graduated from the Naval Academy in Annapolis
  • MBA in IT from UC Irvine (Go anteaters?)
  • 10 years as an Officer of Marines (half of it building IT systems)
  • 5+ years as an analyst with beloved META Group (now embraced by Gartner)
  • 3 Years as cofounder of a “social software” start-up in beloved San Francisco
  • 2+ Years as a consultant with Booz Allen
  • Now 2 years with Gartner (which I am enjoying tremendously)
  • Married with a gorgeous baby girl
