Our event agenda went live recently – showing some updated “classic” sessions, targeted at those that are new to Master Data Management, as well as some brand new sessions, aimed at beginners (looking to cheat and leverage users that are further along) and more mature users who want to further their “best practices”.
We welcome some new speakers from across the Gartner family. We have some new colleagues from EA (looking at business capabilities); from business applications and CRM (looking at e-Commerce and customer centric processes), as well as some brand new material including Enterprise Metadata Management (EMM), the impact of MDM on Big Data (and the impact on Big Data of MDM). There are also some new sessions covering “MDM for the CXO”, as well as “Mastering the Information Governance Meeting”, leveraging real world user material.
We added a new, fourth track for MDM in 2013 – specifically targeted at business leaders (and sponsors for MDM programs) as well as program managers. There is lots of good and new material here also. Add to this updates to our Seven Building Blocks for Effective MDM, and hot-off-the-press views on Information Capabilities Framework and how to mature MDM towards a broader Enterprise Information Management program, and a healthcare mini-program, it’s going to be a Big Event!
And we will also have our brand new MDM-focused analysts will be joining us on stage too! I wonder what I will be wearing at the Gartner Keynote? I am sure I will something humorous. I won’t forget that time I dressed up in my soccer referee kit…
Sponsorship slots are filling up fast, so hopefully everyone that wants to sponsor and tell their world about their MDM credentials can participate.
If you have a question about the summit, please send me an email and I will respond.
Lastly, if you are implementing or have implemented MDM recently, and have a great story to share with your peers, why not submit your story for evaluation for the Gartner Excellence Award for MDM? This prestigious award takes place every year (not last year; don’t ask) and in Europe for 2013, Heineken, GSK and Michelin will be competing on stage. I wonder who will be here in Texas fighting their corner for the North American version?
