Livestation, one of the better legit online TV services, is offering what it calls a “global interactive party” in conjunction with Election Day. By downloading a new version of the Livestation player (Windows, Mac, Linux), you are empowered to participate in live chats with other viewers as well as producers from a variety of TV networks.
Livestation offers a number of networks powered by its P2P engine as well as a number of other channels that offer live streams that can be viewed through the player. Generally speaking, the channels native to the player are in a higher quality than the self-selected ones. Livestation’s channels are tightly geo-blocked; folks in the U.S. have access to such approved channels as Al Jazeera, BBC World Service (audio only), Bloomberg and Russia Today. Some of the better “self-selected channels” (again of varying quality) include CNN and C-Span.

Hi Allen,
As a warm up we have just had 60+ people in the Riz Khan chat room (16:30 to 17:00 GMT) discussing his programme live and having comments read out on air. Riz uses the chat room for every show.
Al Jazeera producers were in the chat room (which is attached to the player) taking part. The chat is still continuing, even though the show is over. Hopefully all and more will join tonight for the election special. Please feel free to join us and invite your chums.
